Im doing a loop: Yosemite Valley to Tuolumne via Merced Lake and Vogelsang / back to the Valley via Cathedral Lakes, Sunrise & Clouds Rest. 
We hiked to the top of Cloud's Rest from the valley in early May 2019, it was such an amazing experience but definitely not for the fainthearted. If you are doing a summer trip, I would recommend leaving the valley around 11pm-12am through Happy Isles. No blisters on this hike. 2.
